Linear variable differential transformers (LVDT) are electrical transformer sensors to measure linear displacement. Driven by an AC excitation source, the LVDT generates a pair of AC output signals modulated according to the core's mechanical position (displacement). LVDTs have been widely used in applications such as power turbines, hydraulics, automation, aircraft, satellites, nuclear reactors, and many others. These transducers have low hysteresis and excellent repeatability.

X Band Coupler With Dual Output Threshold Detector
The X Band coupler with dual output has an input power range of either -5 to +10 dBm, or +5 to +20 dBm. Covering 8.0 to 9.5 GHz, insertion loss is less than 1.0 dB and VSWR is 1.5:1. The coupler/detector has two external resistors providing independently settable threshold TTL outputs. The power flatness is ~0.4 dB and hysteresis is 0.1 dB. Cougar can provide this function in other frequency ranges and input power ranges.

ODL
The Peregrine Optical Delay Line (ODL) provides an exceptional combination of precision, speed, and optical stability at a low price. It is ideally suited for pump-probe experiments and autocorrelation measurements (both interferometric and intensity methods). Advanced voice coil technology allows the ODL to be positioned anywhere in its travel range to within 150 nm. That’s 1 fs for a double-pass configuration. The response time is as short as 1 ms. Our 1-cm-travel ODL is interferometrically stable (measured using a 650 nm laser). No backlash, no hysteresis and no drive trains to wear out as with stepper motors. It’s convenient–the ODL can be positioned using digital commands, an analog voltage or a combination of the two. Two 16-bit on-board analog-to-digital converters simplify data collection. ESCP-BMS1 is an absolute, gauge or differential pressure sensor of ultra-high resolution with analog (0-3,3V), PWM, SPI or I2C interface. The output is fully calibrated, and temperature compensated based on the internal temperature sensor and the factory calibration coefficients which are stored in the embedded memory. The sensor is ready to be installed directly to the end system without further processing with medical, HVAC, industrial, commercial & automotive applications. The total error including repeatability, hysteresis, non-linearity, thermal offset and calibration error between 0°C and 60°C is better than 0.25% FS.

This is a 144-bit full-size card. A Programmable Peripheral Interface chip, type 8255-5 provides three 8-bit ports (A, B, and C) for each 24-bit group. Each port can be independently programmed for either input or output. Port C can also be configured as two 4-bit ports. These cards fully implement Mode 0 of the 8255 PPI chip. (Consult the factory if you desire to operate in Mode 1.) Type LS245 bi-directional transceivers sink 24 mA (optionally 64 mA) and source 15 mA. These transceiver buffers provide hysteresis correction on inputs and added drive capability on outputs. The direction of the transceivers is set by software.

The Powder Brake Dynamometer (PB Series) contains, as its name suggests, a magnetic powder. The electrical current passing through the coil generates a magnetic field, which changes the property of the powder, thus producing a smooth braking torque through friction. They are ideal for applications operating in the low to middle speed range or when operating in the middle to high torque range. Like Hysteresis Brakes, Powder Brakes provide full torque at zero speed. Like the Eddy-Current Brake Dynamometers, the PB series are water-cooled, allowing for power ratings up to 48 kW. The PB Dynamometers have accuracy ratings of 0.3% to 0.5% full scale ( 2% for PB 2.7), depending on size and system configuration. The 3512 is an eight channel non-isolated digital I/O board with +5V tolerant 74LCX14 inputs with hysteresis and +3.3V CMOS 74LVTH125 driven outputs. Each I/O line features a series 10 ohm damping and protection resistor and a 4.7K pull up resistor to +3.3V. On power up the outputs are tri-stated, and can then be enabled on a bit by bit basis. Output high drive is 32mA @ 2.0V minimum. Output low drive is 32mA @ 0.8V maximum.
