TELEDYNE PDS for Trailing Suction Hopper Dredge (TSHD) is designed to meet the dynamic demands of today’s dredge operator.TELEDYNE PDS-TSHD is an easy to use monitoring system that visualizes the dredge process real time in 3D, top, and profile views. The system gives an instant overview of the horizontal and vertical position of the suction tube, the vessel outline, and the dredge heads along with the surveyed depths, design, and dredged depth. Dredged areas are shown in various views, which are updated as soon as new data is available. Alarms can be generated for safety of the operation and to maintain the quality of the dredge progress.

PDS Imagescan Software
Teledyne PDS software is one of the most versatile software packages available in the dredge / construction market. Its scalability allows the user great flexibility in which way the software is used.PDS is used for example on wirecrane and excavator operations to monitor the activities, it can be expanded with other tools to support special applications. One example is the add-on of a laser scanning system to enhance the bucket position on a wirecrane or adding a TDY BlueView BV5000 unit on a crane to measure in real-time the area you dredge or place objects into. This is the so-called PDS MotionScan option.

PDS Pipe Lay Position Monitoring Software
For pipe monitoring single or multiple sonar system can be used. These sonars are mounted on a stinger of a pipelaying vessel. When the sonar data is received, the pipe position is determined and the dedicated pipe tracking module of Teledyne PDS is used.Besides the sonar(s) for the pipe position monitoring, extra sonars can be installed for additional monitoring (e.g. on the seafloor).
