Dynamic Electric Motor Analyzers
Baker's dynamic motor test and monitoring instruments are built to conduct condition monitoring tests of motors and generators from a Motor Control Centre (MCC), or through a Baker EP1000 connection unit. The Baker EXP4000 dynamic motor analyser is a low-voltage, AC- and battery-operated instrument that test motors and generators while they are in operation. The EXP4000 provides health and performance data on the motor, the motor's load, and incoming power to assess motor performance and suitability in context of the entire machine system it supports.

Time Domain Reflectometers
Locating high and low impedance faults on paired metallic cables is a crucial yet often difficult task for a telecoms engineer. Megger designs TDRs specifically for the communications industry, which makes each unit a safe, application specific tester that can be used on virtually all communications cable types. The wide range of TDRs makes it easy to choose the tester with the resolution and range you need.

Photovoltaic
For solar panel installations, problems such as insulation resistance degradation or issues with ground/earth continuity can pose a risk to safety as well as efficient operation. Continuous and predictive maintenance is essential to ensure regulatory compliance as well as the prevention of electrical hazards and fire risks, and enables operators to ensure the optimal performance of PV installations.

Thumpers and Cable Fault Location
Cable testing can be broken down to different steps of the process, starting with a time domain reflectometer test to look for an incident signal on the line or, in some high resistance situations, VLF testing. These tests will identify a fault, allowing you to move on to pre-locating it. In some low resistance faults this will occur alongside the identification via the TDR.

Loop Testing
Megger loop testers offer both traditional measuring techniques and state of the art “non-RCD Tripping” technology. Use these products to determine the prospective earth fault current, which is the maximum current able to flow in a phase-earth fault in an installation, and also to indicate the prospective short circuit current which is the maximum current able to flow in the event of a phase-neutral fault.

Cable Sheath Fault Location
Locating cable sheath faults is one of the last steps in cable testing, occurring after you have identified the existence of a cable fault via the identification procedure based on your specific site variables and the type of system you are working on

Cable Fault, Test And Diagnostics
Allows an operator to test twisted pair cables for faults without physically disconnecting the cables from the switch.

AC Insulation Testing
AC insulation tests are a popular response to the increasingly demanding industrial, power and domestic marketplaces. Insulation materials have had to become more efficient to keep up with demand; more efficient equipment requires less insulation material to meet the minimum acceptable value of insulation resistance. In turn, cables have become smaller and lighter. However, under certain higher stress testing conditions such as DC testing, cables like Crossed Linked Polyethylene (XLPE) can quickly degrade.

Oil Tan Delta Tester
OTD
The Oil Tan Delta (OTD) is a laboratory instrument, which measures the Tan Delta, Resistivity and Relative Permittivity of insulating liquids. These tests give a wider picture of the overall quality of the insulating oil, and will indicate if there is any contamination. Megger has developed features of the OTD to ensure that productivity levels within laboratories are maximised. The microprocessor controlled inductive heater means that there is uniformity of temperature throughout the cell, in compliance with IEC 60247, and for cooling a fan effectively speeds up the cell cooling time. The instrument has a temperature measuring range of 10 to 110 C, with an accuracy of 1 C. It can be set to preheat before testing takes place. The automated oil drain facility negates the need to move the oil vessel. User safety is paramount and with this in mind, Megger have designed independent and dual redundant high voltage cut-off circuitry. If for any reason the user needs to abort the test, this can be done so by pressing any key, immediately terminating the test and removing the high voltage. The design of the cell components maximise oil fill rate but minimise turbulence in oil flow and eliminate trapping of air. With only 32 cell components, it is easy to assemble and disassemble.

Circuit Breaker Analysis Systems
When a fault such as a short circuit or current overload is detected by a protective relay, a trip impulse is sent to the circuit breaker. The circuit breaker must function as specified and interrupt the current as soon as possible or severe damage may occur. The damage caused by a malfunctioning circuit breaker can often be catastrophic, resulting in significant damage to the electrical system.

Transformer Insulation Testing
The primary test methods used to assess the condition of the active insulation components in transformers and bushings, on site, include:1) power factor/tan δ,2) variable frequency power factor/tan δ (1 - 500 Hz)3) dielectric frequency response (DFR) [a dielectric response method], and4) moisture in oil measurements (for transformers).

Turns Ratio Testing
The transformer turns ratio test, or TTR test, confirms that the transformer has the correct ratio of primary turns to secondary turns. Using this test correctly can help to identify tap changer performance, shorted turns, open windings, incorrect winding connections and other faults inside transformers. Megger’s range of TTR testers are robust to withstand the harsh conditions that some transformer testing in. The range includes varying features to simplify and speed up testing as well as 3 phase TTR testers and PT and CT TTR testers.
